1) Anything and everything art all things began with art. I believe art doesn't have to be physical object and that it is all unique. Because what is unique, all art have there own stories and meaning all of which are unique to the artist behind them.

2) I think Andres Bricks art are unique in away as although they are stripped back and basic objects they hold deep sublimed meaning with deep core values that depict them in a different light to make them out to be more than they are.

3) Art can be anything it wants to be. in a sense it is precious to its creator but may not be precious to its viewing audience.

4) I strongly agree with Richard Longs statement that the process of making is as important as the final piece. Some times its the process behind the making a piece which is more effect and holds a greater importance rather than the actual work its self.

5) I think Gilbert and George living sculpture are crazy and silly of which reckless actions and art had an empowering effect upon the viewing audience allowing their opinions to be expressed and their career to grow.

6/8) I would adapt upon Louise Bourgeois style of using raw personal emotion and channel that in my art work as her style and concept behind it really speaks to me and captures my attention.

7) Art can heal in my opinion, not completely but to a certain extent. it can be expressive in away that lets all problems out. Its almost like therapy in a sense.

Film Review:
This program is an eye opener for those that don't believe the process behind a piece of work is as actually important as the final produced piece when in fact it is equally important or even more important as the journey and process offers a story and a connection from the work to the viewing audience. I found it to be an uplifting and empowering program in the way that the artist themselves are simply baring their souls and presenting their own experiences into their work. It is incredibly inspiring to me as an artist as it encourages me to allow my mind to explore many more subject matters either personal or not with out limitations or worries so that I can base my future piece around them and allow them to guide the process and journey behind creating an enhancing art piece touching upon matters that can essentially heal me or my viewing audience by being relevant and important. The program simply reminds people of arts true intentions, it is away for people to express them selves and get out the thing in which our mind holds.

Volumes: 1) I think its about movement and emotions and how they co-live with one and other and how they effect each other.

2) I liked the way the particles moved and the colour of them, it was almost as if they where dancing, it was beautiful.

Paint Showers: 1) I thought it was going to be about paint and the way it falls on to a surface area showing of the after effects.

2) It was unexpected, in stead of the paint falling down it fell upwards giving of an intriguing yet weird effect along side sound effects which really caught my eye.

ODYSSEY: 1) The movement and mixing of paint to create cells and air bubbles with in the paint itself.

2) I love the colour concepts and there was also some think therapeutic about the paint moving around and blending.

Big Bang Big Boom: 1) I think it was about a journey and how the product from the beginning travelled and transformed in to the end/final product.

2) The story behind it we got to see it grow in such a short time.

Mound: 1) I got the feeling that it was about motion and change, there was constant movement involved which to me reflected both growth and decay.

2) I liked it all it depicted and new world with beautiful imagery and movement that harmonised perfectly with the chosen song.

  1. I strongly agree with the statement at hand as I believe everything is beautiful in its own rights. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder although something my not be necessarily classed as beautiful to me it may be the case that it is beautiful in someone else’s eyes.

  2. Art is for ever changing and so is the concept of beauty, I would not say its lost, but I would say its hidden. My people create to what they feel is a perfect final piece in their eyes and therefore is beauty. However, the beauty of art with in how it looks, I personally would not say is important as I could create something so hideous it would still turn out beautiful.

  3. I have not really given it a thought. However, thinking about it know it is scary even to think that people would look back and see my work, and it makes me wonder if it will still be as effective then as it is today.

  4. This is a hard question to answer. I feel all art is moving with the times if not it is a head of it, therefore, is reflect modern times and escaping it.

  5. There may be some similarities between both these artists based upon scale and technique however, I would not agree with them being a like. Yoko Ono’s work I feel is mor modern whereas Tiepolo’s work is more historical and tradition.

  6. Yes, I feel it is poetic and full of hope as each individual section/area of the artist work is cohesive with the next and harmonises each other calmly, empowering the overall final look.

  7. With imagination you have no limit on the possibilities your art can be come, whereas with reality there is more striker measures and more pressure to get your work precise, to match. The idea or imagination making art more perfect than reality I feel is ludicrous, since not everything can be perfect because what is perfect. Within not making something you personally define as perfect you can ultimately make something brilliant.

  8. I do not believe it matters as art can be seen withing architecture and architecture can be seen as art. For the casting of a wall to make a political statement it can be classes as either art or architecture and still have the same impact and effect.

  9. I do like Kitsch’s art, I feel it is very intriguing, colourful, crazy, and wacky all at the same time. It has a fun, lively feel about it that brings a positive attitude to the viewing audience. There is no reason behind it, but I do feel that it is real art.

  10. Art can be many things empowering, disempowering, emotional, basic, the list is endless and therefore I do agree with Jeff Koons statement that art can disempower or empower as the artist behind the work has control over what they want the main intentions of it to be.

  11. I can relate to many of different artist and movements as they all individually have their own signature style which I can adapt from and use with in my future practice.

  12. 100% art tells a story within its own environment and personality it portrays and therefore has a place if it wanted to create mystery.

 Answers:

  1. Taste is drawing distinctions between things such as styles, manners, consumer goods, and works of art and relating to these. Social inquiry of taste is about the human ability to judge what is beautiful, good, and proper.

  2. Culture is an umbrella term which encompasses the social behaviour and norms found in human societies, as well as the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, customs, capabilities, and habits of the individuals in these groups. Cultural arts refer to transformation and a collaboration of different art forms.

  3.  Personally I feel anything can be art, that includes doing up a car, it can be designed with pattern, colour and texture as an art piece.

  4. It all depends on the person, but in todays modern society people art more likely to spend £1000 pounds on tattoos as they have became more popular in the past few years and there seems to be a higher demand of people getting them.

  5. I feel art should be accessible but to a certain extent.

  6. to me it seems that there is an organised madness to his methodology, this is seen through his bright crazy out there work, his great mind behind his work continually challenges the means by which we understand the world around us and the society in which we modern people live in.

  7.  I don't believe class does effect the sort of art you make everyone has their own way and style of creating work.

  8. I love how ironic and humorous Kitsch's art is.

  9. I do see my work in a historical context but not as strong due to my artistic career path still being developed, i like to look back and see how far my work and style has come and hope fully in the future my past work will be even more inspirational and empowering to me and others.

  1. There is a fine line between what is art and what isn't, that is what I think, initially everything came from a design yet it doesn't necessarily mean its art.

  2. I didn't know about Duchamp's Readymades and i don't really think they where that shocking to me its just another developed art form and style that has been noticed, although not all things art classed as being art they can be made into art.

  3. its an intriguing way to make art, taking others creations and adapting them to make your own art. its not just challenging for you but also for other people because of that fine line of what art is and what isn't art, what is an object and what isn't.

  4. Having create/perfect skill and craft in art is always and added bonus and makes it easier if you have the abilities to use a certain skill or craft however it is not as important to have it straight way art is for ever developing and so is craft and skill.

  5. all art provokes something within the view audience and is always getting them to thinks, its part of human nature to think so its something natural we do even if your not purposely making your art to get people to think their mind always resorts back to thinking about it that being either a negative or positive thought.

  6. Yes as with art even the impossible is possible. If you want to create a skilful beautiful piece that makes the viewer question your intentions then that is what you can do.

  7. I think that if people can make a living by passing jokes of as art then great but its not something I would do if you art going to write jokes and sell them as art do it in a way that has more than just words use pattern, images, colour and texture all things that art is about.

  8. His work is humorous and I personally feel if your a person that lacks a great senses of humour then i feel it would be hard to understand his work. some of his piece i understand but not them all as humour changes with time as well as art.

  9. Its a bit of an insult to me as an artist.

  10. I feel that its a humours attempt to simple state that anything can be art and has mocking the fact that if he can do something so reckless and simple and sell it for so much money then anyone can if they have the name behind them.

  11. Yes in order to get peoples mixed opinions.

  12. Yes because as artist if we don't take ourselves serious and our work then who will?

  13. The Fluxus' art movement as it reminded me that all though as artist we may be too serious about our creative world and production we can still be humours and have a joke which is a positive aspect to have as an artist but most of all as a person.

  1. I have heard of the 4th plinth before and I think its a great commission in helping to bring new contemporary artist to the recognition, showing new skill and style and uplifting the most historic square in London.

  2. I admire the passion behind a collaborative piece bringing together multiple and different style to bring about an new collective piece. Pros of working in a team is many possibilities with many ideas the cons are people have different objectives and opinions that can be lost or pushed out of the creation in hand.

  3. I was surprised by what he said and I felt heart sorry for people in his situation, it is the 21st century and every artist are entitled to have their work seen and heard no matter their cultural heritage, ability or background. I do and I don't consider my own cultural heritage with in my work it all depends on my topic of chose and what im trying to express and say with my work.

  4. I do like Yinka's work I think it is very bold in the sense of colour, texture and scale that its beautiful. I also love the fact that with in his work he has the input from other people that bring his creations to life that it adds and extra piece of identity to him and his final outcome.

  1. I  think nakedness in art is fine it shows of a vulnerable side to the artist that you may not get to see which replicates strength because they are putting there art and themselves out there. To me nakedness is something striped back, its to me defined as vulnerable and raw where as nude is more sexualised.

  2. I think it very brave and brilliant. There is an authenticity about her work that approaches a topic not normally talked about, or is hard to talk about, her work speaks for those that cant.

  3. Yes I believe her performances do change people's view as her chosen topic of abuse physical and mentally interacting with her viewers. Her empowering pieces are repulsive but beautiful at the same time although its not quite right to look at we do anyways as its interesting. these thoughts and opinions we have on her work stick with us and make us more of a sympathetic audience that what to make a change and have an effect like the artist her self.

  4. I think it does to a certain extent, it gets the public talking about an uncommon topic and offers support to those in the public audience how need it, it encourages people to talk about uncomfortable traumatic and or emotionally charged issues and offers them the strength to come forward with there experience like Regina Jose Galinda did, this doesn't necessarily mean they will thought.

  5. Although humanity has come along way through out the course of history it still has a longer path to take. Her work is a reminder that abuse still occurs its not so much a gentle reminder but its an indication to how the other half live, some people are in a better situation than others and everyone has to be made aware of that.
