Leslie Ditto
Ditto’s colour palette is quite surprising and beautifully matched to the general atmosphere and emotional state she is trying to portray the colours blended and layered together creates outstanding texture and mesmerizing expressions that encourage her pieces to stand out and come to life. When looking at Leslie Ditto’s work I was first drawn to the wacky, mind blowing characterisation in which she gives her work, she aims to connect with her viewing audiences fantasy/creative side, this is to not only provide them with a story through her piece but also provide them with the basic structure and starting point for them to make their own story. I would hope to continue this motive/perspective on creating art in my own work as her style and technique would be incredibly useful to me as an artist just starting as her inspiration can help me develop my skill set in painting.
