ALTERNATIVE DRAWING MATERIALS
This first drawing is of a wine glass and was created using a white pencil on top of a black material that was once used as a black out blind. For this project I choose to use materials in which I had at my disposable along with the intentions of using something in which best highlights my chosen object to draw. I feel the blind material defines the glass and allows it to stand of the the surface enhancing the white pencil to be bolder than it actually is. This piece out of the four is my most favourite piece and successful piece as I believe it is the most captivating and realistic to the glass I originally observed.

This Second drawing is of a lamp, it was created using chalk pastels and was created on simple plain paper. Although I don't think this piece was as strong as the first piece I do believe it held some successful features. One of which was the shading the different shadows on the lamp added depth to the piece and allowed me to depict the ways in which the light reflected of it. Also, my decision to use chalk pastel helped to added texture to the piece, the left behind a powdered like substance as can be seen which initially replicates the real life material of the lamp shade.
Thirdly, this piece of a cactus created on a wooden board using coloured string I feel it is my lest successful piece out of the four. Although the string is within corresponding to the real colours of my cactus it has limited the amount of detail in which I could put in to the work detail in which I could of used to enhanced something so simplistic.

Finally, here we a piece that features Egyptian style Russian nest dolls created on a canvas using marker pens. The reason behind using marker pens was due to the range of colours they offer along with the sharp bold lines and finish they give off. The markers in which I obtain allowed me to get the correct colours in which best matched the dolls, this allowed me to bring my overall observational drawing to life as I could then use the correct colours to justify each individual line and feature. Using a traditional canvas just like any artist allows me to adds texture to the piece and give the final look a professional characteristic.
