Cubist Artists.
Mirel Ologeanu.

Mirel Ologeanu work I find complex and interesting as your eye have to dig through each layer to reveal a new exciting detail that contributes to and relates to the final image portrayed. Bold lines add to the strong defined images reaching the eyes of the viewers and that is what I feel I will carry over into my own work so that nothing of importance is lost within the background.
Pablo Picasso.

George Braque.

Pablo Picasso adapted that of the style and technique from fellow artist George Braque. During both Braque and Picasso's time Colour was almost non-existent except for the use of a monochromatic scheme that often included grey, blue and ochre. Instead of an emphasis on colour, Analytic cubists focused on forms like the cylinder, sphere and the cone to represent the natural world. The technique of faceting originated from Georges Braque's - it was his way to depict a natural object. Picasso didn't so much facet natural objects, but used the geometry of Braque's faceted paintings to create a style that was abstract in essence, almost pure abstract art. So cubism refers to the styles of both Braque's and Picasso, although Braque's cubism has a recognizable figurative objective, while Picasso's cubism served as the link between Braque's style and pure the abstract art that followed from cubism. George Braque work uses a lot of subtle and natural tones which resembles that of natural woodgrains and marble finishes appeal more to the audience taste in style and colour. The use of materials used by Braque creates a visual pun about the nature of representation as the natural looking papers can act as the foreground, the background or both at the same time.
