For this project I chose to draw mushrooms the reason behind this choice was because they hold as an object many shadows along with lots of hidden details in which I felt I could expose. I wanted to capture the mushrooms in away that made them stand of the page and come to life. I feel I have successfully allowed this to happen as this black and white sketch shows of highlights, shadows, texture and details in which really elevates this piece from being a 2D piece. After creating this piece I was then given the project to add colour to my drawing as can be seen below.
